Please be aware of the following when you arrive in the town of Huaraz:
1. Don’t pay attention to people waiting in the bus station, offering to take you to Casa Jaimes. They will take you to other places.
Therefore in order to be sure you will join to Casa Jaimes we recommend the following:
o Give us a call one day before you arrive in Huaraz:
telefon number 43-422281 ask for Olinda, inform us about number of persons, time and place of departure of your bus and name of bus company. We will call for you at the bus station.
o alternatively send us abovementioned informations by mail to contacts@casajaimes.com. We are connected from 08.00 am till 09.00 pm every day of the year.
2 Don’t trust people you find at the bus station and be careful of your bagpacks and above all of your little bags which usually are robbed first.
Don’t have a talk with persons you don’t know, even if it is a woman with children.
If possible, walk together with your friends.
If you take a taxi try to write down the number plate
3 Generally spoken when you arrive in Huaraz ask the taxidriver to take you to Casa Jaimes which is in the centre of Huaraz. If you notice that he takes you to another place outside of Huaraz ask him to take you back to the center and take another taxi.
Frequently taxi drivers will try to take you to places outside of Huaraz which may be very dangerous in the night.
